The cattle supply chain is complex. It is one of the few large industries in the world with multiple sectors that each produce critical production data that they are still unable to share. The hard workers in each sector have the skills and knowledge necessary to create a great product, but often do not have enough definitive data to establish many of the precise benchmarks necessary for improving practices and making good buying decisions.
This information void is not because of the lack of software or the reluctance to use it; there is very good software being used in each sector that produces a wealth of critical production data. The problem is that the data remains in that sector even though it is important for other sectors to use.
An example of this is carcass data. Carcass data is the result of the grading process in packing facilities and is the largest deciding factor in determining the value of the end product. It is the goal of each sector to do their part to make an end-product that grades high but once the animal leaves their possession, they usually have no idea how it actually graded.
This is about to change.
We are now in phase 3 of a 4-phase pilot project. In phase 3, we are tracking approximately 45,000 head of cattle from birth to harvest. This phase will allow us to debug the software, enhance the UI, and load-test the system in a controlled environment. Phase 4 will be an industry-wide release.
Decentralized database (Blockchain) makes it impossible for the data to be compromised. Every participant will have the exact same copy of the data as long as they have proper permissions.More Detail
No private data goes into the system. You have complete control over what you want to share by setting your permissions on the portal.More Detail
Through our ever-growing list of network partners, you will be able to see data all the way up and down the supply chain, including carcass data.More Detail
We're very proud of our technology, but the key to success will be the ability to create and maintain good relationships among industry participants.
Enabling people to experience high-trust relationships with others.
Activating people to achieve economic and interpersonal goals.
Making a positive contribution to others in the community and around the world.
